Have you ever had Red Lobster’s biscuits? If you have, you know they’re the best biscuits EVER created.

Ever thought they would be possible on Keto? I didn’t… Until I bought Carbquik! Carbquik is a GOD sent on Keto. Like anything else, moderation is key (because too much of it can leave you bloated).

I ordered it off of Netrition.com along with some of Guy’s Sugar Free BBQ Sauce (I’ll post about that later). Netrition was recommended on reddit.com/keto and I’m definitely going to order from them again.

Anyways, back to the BISCUITS!

I started with a recipe on LowCarb360 plus there’s a recipe on the box BUT you know how it goes, I ended up switching things up and did my own thing.

Now I’m not saying they tasted EXACTLY like Red Lobster’s biscuits but they were really really close AND they were the best thing (besides bacon) I’ve ever tasted on Keto.

Red Lobster Cheddar Bay KETO Biscuits (6 biscuits)

  • 1/2 cup Carbquik
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup mild cheddar cheese
  • 3 tbs salted butter (cold, not melted)
  • 1/2 tsp parsley
  • a sprinkle of garlic powder

This is what I did:

  1. I mixed the Carbquik with the parsley and garlic powder.
  2. I took the butter in small chunks and mixed them in. I used a tea spoon and I kept mixing the butter and Carbquik after 3 or so tea spoons (9) - 3 table spoons in all.
  3. I then combined the 1/4 cup of heavy cream and 1/4 cup of water and added it to the mix.
  4. I then added the 1/2 cup of mild cheddar cheese and stired everything together until mixed well but I did not over mix it.
  5. I then scooped 6 spoons (an ice cream scoop would work great here) on a pan with some parchment paper and put it in the oven at 350 till a little brown on the top.

Again, these were awesome BUT I wanted to try to make some garlic/cheese biscuits to go with my Pasta-less Pepperoni Lasagna so I made some changes and came up with these:

Garlic & Cheese KETO Biscuits (6 biscuits)

  • 1/2 cup Carbquik
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 3 tbs salted butter (cold, not melted)
  • 1/2 tsp parsley
  • 1 tsp of garlic powder

This is what I did:

  1. I mixed the Carbquik with the parsley and garlic powder.
  2. I then combined the 1/4 cup of heavy cream and 1/4 cup of water and added it to the mix.
  3. I then added the 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese and stired everything together until mixed well but I did not over mix it.
  4. I then scooped 6 spoons (an ice cream scoop would work great here) on a pan with some parchment paper and put it in the oven at 350 till a little brown on the top.
  5. At about 10 minutes I realized I forgot the butter and almost had a heart attack - the butter is what keeps them moist - so I improvised and they came out BETTER then the first ones. I added 1/2 tbs on top of each buscuit.
  6. You have to watch them, they don’t get as dark on top because of the butter and the butter melts every where. So at about 15 min total I turned on the BROIL till the tops browned a little.

THESE were so GOOOOOOOD. Seriously, I have to try the cheddar biscuits with the butter on top because thats the way to go!

Each bisquit shouldn’t be more then 1.5g net carbs.

Hope you enjoy, please let me know if you have any questions!
